You may have noticed a lot of local press coverage of the Park And Ride Neighbors opposition to high density development at the Reston South Park and Ride.

We need your continued participation, so please write letters to the editors of those local papers to show your support of PARN’s position.

The decision by Fairfax County about whether they want to move towards developing the South Reston Park and Ride is expected by the end of February. Don’t wait to share your opinion. Send an e-mail right now!

Letters from more citizens to our County Supervisors will let them know that their constituents are looking for them to protect our neighborhoods from overdevelopment.

Synopsis: The Reston Association Board is holding a special meeting to develop the Reston Association's position on the PRC zoning change.

RELATED ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

Please come join in this forum about the best ways to manage growth and density in Fairfax County. Transit Oriented Development will be discussed as a place where high density housing belongs and will best serve the community.

PARN is concerned that the small commuter parking lots in low density areas will be mislabeled as transit stations.

Transit Oriented Development should be limited to rail transit stations to protect commuter lots and bus stops from being spot rezoned for Transit Oriented Development.
